Ginger Regrowth - Week 4

This final week of my ginger regrowth project brings not the best update. I unfortunately never saw any growth in my original ginger propagule after continuously trimming off the moldy bits and changing the wet paper towel around it. I said I would restart with a new ginger propagule if I continued to see no growth, so this week I am starting fresh. I am trying not to think of this project as a failure but rather as a learning opportunity to learn from what I did wrong. I think the piece of ginger I chose may have been the reason why I had no growth, so I am going to play around with different sizes and see what works. I know that it is better to plant more seeds than you actually want to grow in case some don't work out. I think that's the same case here. Not every ginger propagule is going to grow roots, and if I keep trying one of them will eventually start to grow. I am hoping that I am not alone in this and that other people have had issues getting their ginger to sprout. If it was as easy as everyone thinks, we would always be regrowing plants and never purchasing them!

Pictured below is not my transplanted ginger but instead a fresh start. I hope this propagule turns out more successful!
